We ask that you please do not send peanut butter.
We have allergies in kindergarten.
Kindergarten Happenings!!
Our four days of school were fabulous.
Some of our activities were…
On Tuesday, we had an “All School Assembly” to help us begin a great school year! In the classroom, we got acquainted and learned lots of rules and procedures! The boys and girls were real troopers!
There is so much to remember!
We read the story, The Little Engine That Could. You are probably very familiar with it! Instead of saying “I can’t!” use the words “I think I can!” We discussed the importance of trying!! We all make mistakes and that’s okay…but you should always TRY!!! Perhaps you could talk about that with your child!!
We are AmeriCANs!
We started working on a fun back to school book. We will send it home in a week or 2. :)
We met our Music teacher, Mrs. Weichers, our
Guidance teacher, Mrs. Spahn, our Art teacher, Mrs. Graves, and our Gym teacher, Mrs Harken! Each one is very nice! School is going to be soooo much fun!!!
Remember...if you ever have any questions, or concerns...email or call us!
We really want to work together to make this a wonderful year for your child!
Fun fact:
Friedrich Froebel opened the first kindergarten in 1837. Kindergarten means “garden of children”, or “a place where children develop.”
We learned about the words: I, am, can, the, little!
We USED the words in our writing, too!
Reminder:
2 1/2 hour early out Wednesday, August 31
No School on Sept. 5th for Labor Day!
Thanks for all the school supplies!!
Feel free to send a 3x5 family photo in for your child’s locker!
