We did not meet a new letter friend this week! We took some time to review! We also had a very busy week with it being Fire Safety Week

and having our field trip!!

The Firemen came to see us on Wednesday!

Don't be afraid of a fireman!

Stay low if there is smoke!

If your clothes are on fire...STOP, DROP, and ROLL!

We are working hard on our number printing. Printing number correctly is just as important a printing letters correctly!

We learned a little poem to go with each number!

”Straight line down is FUN...that’s the way to make a ONE!”

“Around and back on the railroad track...TWO, TWO, TWO!!”

“Around a tree, around a tree...that’s the way to make a THREE!”

“Down, over...down once more...that’s the way to make a FOUR!”
"Short neck, belly fat...Mr. FIVE wears a hat!"

“With a curve and a loop, there are no tricks...in learning how to make a number SIX!”

“Across the sky and down from heaven...that’s the way to make a SEVEN!”

“Make an S and then don’t wait...climb back up and make an EIGHT!”’

“Circle and a line...there you have a NINE!”

KJ Kids came to Mrs. V. to learn a game called CAPTURE!
Ask your kindergartner to explain how it works!
It took FOREVER to capture Stella!

REMINDER…

There is a two and a half hour early out next Wednesday, October 19th!

ANOTHER REMINDER....

ELEMENTARY FAMILIES:  

We are only DAYS away from the Elementary Family Literacy Night, "Reading Roundup"!!  

Families of students in Kaleidoscope through 5th grade are invited to come join us for a free-will donation meal and literacy activities.  

WHEN:  Monday, Oct. 17th

Come and go from 5:00-6:30 p.m. 

WHERE: Parkersburg Elementary School

Feel free to BRING your own device (Android devices, iPads, iPhones, Nook, Kindle) to load some great literacy apps for your children to use!  

We hope YA'LL will join us for some FAMILY LITERACY FUN!
