Kindergarten Newsletter!

We met Mr. D. this week. He loves to dance so we did a little of that this week!
We did the Twist, the Disco, the Mashed Potato, the Cha-Cha, and a few others! :)
Now that Mr. D. is here....we could make even more words!
We made had, sad, fad, mad, bad, pad, and tad.
Practice this “word family” with your child!! :)
Mrs. Weichers has been taking small groups of kids to learn about the Sphere-O!
It helps kids learn about the basics of CODING!!
She has taken all the KV kids and will start with the KK kids soon!

In Art this week, the boys and girls did some fantastic drawing!
We learned what doodling is! It means to draw absentmindedly while you are doing something else....like talking on the phone! WHAT you doodle tells a lot about your talents! There is actually a National Doodling Day sometime in February! We took some time to DOODLE while we listened to music!
We really examined the front and back of a dollar bill!
We wrote five words we could find!

Ruth Seehusen, from Farm Bureau's Ag in the Classroom program, came and taught us about the pumpkin circle! Ask your child about that! Then we made pumpkin pie in a bag! Each kindergartner brought home the recipe!

We met Mr. R this week! He is covered in RAINBOW RIBBONS! He gets them because he raised the reddest roses! He has a rather tricky sound so any extra reinforcement you can give would be very helpful! Right on!

Brainstorming R words!!
We made Roy G. Biv! He is a great friend who helps us
remember the order of the colors in the rainbow!

We made rubbing creations!
Don’t forget...
If you order something from the book order that you want us to hide for you for Christmas...just let us know! Ho, Ho, Ho!
Teacher tip!
Little practice tablets with easy dot-to-dots
(1-20) and color by number make GREAT
stocking stuffers!!!
