Kindergarten News!
In Writers Workshop we have begun persuasive writing.
We learned that writers can make the world a better
place. We see a problem, think about how to fix it, and then we write. The kindergartners had many choices!
They could design a poster, write a letter, write a book, write a song or write a list of rules!
Here are some examples of what they did!

We talked about the difference between fact and opinion. A fact is something that is true for everyone. An opinion is something that is true for the person saying it.
In Mrs. V.'s Math group, we played the card game called Garbage!
It is awesome for reinforcing numerical order!!
We really worked on adding details to a self portraits!
We had to write at least three sentences about ourselves.

We went on an ALPHABET CHALLENGE walk!
We had to find something that begins with each letter!

We decided to stop by our tree while we on the search!
It was showing SURE signs of spring!!

Since Earth Day is on a Saturday...we decided to do a little something for our part of the Earth on Friday!
We did a lot of cleaning up around our schools!

More fun pictures from the week!

Abby and Mrs. Cooley participated in a 5K last weekend!
