Kindergarten News!
We did not meet a new letter friend this week!
We did a lot of review and had LOTS of Christmas FUN!!
We read a FICTION story called Hyde Clyde!...it was make believe!
Then we read a NON-FICTION story called Chameleons Are Cool!...
it was full of true facts about chameleons!
Then we each made a chameleon to hide in our room. We had to decide WHERE we wanted it to hide...then color it to match the surroundings! Mrs. Cooley had to try and find them all! It took awhile...but she did!
We had a celebration party for Claire!
She had her LAST treatment this week! Woohoo!

So that is exactly what we had on Tuesday morning!

We practiced some fun Christmas carols and poems early this week and then went and performed them for the residents at Parker Place!
We went to see the fourth graders perform a
Christmas Readers Theater for us!
It was fantastic!!
We are reading several books that are up for the Caldecott award! This award honors outstanding children's picture books! We are voting on our favorites. We will be anxious to see which one actually wins. We will watch the award presentation in January!

You may have received an email about a sponsorship that was created to raise money for our elementary schools! This is a FREE sponsorship were we have the opportunity to raise $1,000 in 10 days. We hope to buy new books for our classroom libraries!

We made candy canes with the words for the kids to practice over break!
We had a fun time on Wednesday afternoon…
the whole school met in the gym for Cocoa and Carols!
The High School Choir surprised us with a Christmas Carol performance on Thursday! They were AWESOME!!

A few Christmas projects and our gift to the kids
are in the kindergartner's Christmas sacks that were sent home today! Enjoy!
We have also sent the water bottles home for a good cleaning!
Please send them back right away in 2017!
Here's a great idea...
Send a reusable bag in for your kindergartner's snow gear!
They hold EVERYTHING!!
When you send your kindergartner back to school in 2017...
please remind them of your and our expectations.
They need to show good character in school
and always do their BEST!!
