We met Ms. L ! She has the Longest Laugh!
We read a story called, The Line Sophie Drew.
Then we each made our own “line” creation. They were ALL lovely!!
Here are the letter people we have met so far....
Aa, Bb, Cc, Dd, Ff, Hh, Ii, Kk, Ll,
Mm, Nn, Oo, Pp, Rr, Ss, and Tt!

Snacks for Kindergarten...
If you do send carrots when it is your week...please just send ONE bag.
We were so overloaded with carrots...we had to toss many bags because of spoiling.

Ms. L loves letters so we practiced printing the lower case letters and we did a dot-to-dot with the letters from a-z!!

We learned about sources of LIGHT!
We read an alphabet book called , L is for LIBERTY!
It was all about the Statue of Liberty!
We read a book called, I Am Lost!
Then we discussed what to do if we would ever get lost!
We are still reading book that might become Caldecott winners!
Mrs. Surratt was a guest reader one day!
In Reader's Workshop....we learned that readers REREAD books and find NEW things EVERY TIME!!

Our lunch ladies are the best!!
They made us LIME jello this week!
They also introduced hummus to our salad bar!
It is great to try new things!

In Library…we learned about a famous author named Leo Lionni! The next time you are at the Public Library, check out one of his books!
There are SO MANY...and they are SO GOOD!
Last week, we learned about snowflakes!
