We met Ms. U this week! That is our last letterlight!
Now we can make even MORE words!!
Ms. U has a very unusual umbrella! It lets her fly up, up, up!!

We brainstormed “up” words! Boy oh boy...there are a TON of those…upset, heads up, upstairs, speak up. make up, stand up, clean up, wash up, line up….etc.,…
We made an umbrella creation...by coloring on a heat source...WITH ADULT SUPERVISION! The crayon melts and the result is so pretty!
We had a photo shoot with a umbrella, too!
Then we used the photo for a creative illustrating and
writing project!

In Gym this week we played with the parachute!!
It takes a lot of cooperation!?
We read a story called, Roger’s Upside-down Day.
We talked about what it would be like to do everything upside-down for a day!!! There were many upside down things in our room! Hahaha!
On Friday, Mrs. V brought birthday treats!
Unless something CRAZY happens...
you do no need to send in snow pants anymore! :)
If we get rain...boots are a good idea!
At conferences, we shared your child's reading level!

We found a chart that help you know what to choose!

We did some BOWLING!
We made a number sentence after our first roll!

Two people rolled a dice, they decided which one had the larger number, then they added by counting on from that number!

*We read a great book about the USA!! We learned a little about popular tourist destinations! We also studied a big map of all the states!
We will be on Spring Break for St. Patrick’s Day so we made a
leprechaun a little early!

Wednesday was PAJAMA DAY!!
We snuggled in and read A LOT that day! The WHOLE SCHOOL read at the same time...for 20 minutes!
For our RAMM finale we got to go to the High School Friday afternoon!
We saw a 5th grade preformance and we got to watch a movie in the auditorium!
We watched Spirit! We had a BLAST!!!
We are sending home water bottles for Spring Break. Please give it a good cleaning and make sure it is in good working order!
