We met Mr. Z. this week!! He really loves zippers...in fact,
he is COVERED with them! He also loves zoo animals!!
We talked about our favorite zoo animals!
We read many zoo stories this week! We read,
Zoo Animals, Zany Zoo, If Anything
Goes Wrong In The Zoo, Zooborns, and
Never Shout in the Zoo.

After reading one of our “zoo” books, we did a zoo animal sort. Our teacher sorted pictures of zoo animals and we had to figure out her sorting RULE!! For example...animals with patterns vs. animals without patterns...animals with two legs vs. animals with four legs...etc....
We felt sorry for Mr. Z. because there aren’t very many “z” words. So we made him a “Zany Zoo” book! We changed all of the beginning sounds of the zoo animals...so there were zigers, zurtles, zolphins, zelephants, zippos, etc.!
We welcomed SPRING this week!
We made beautiful kites for our window!

The boys and girls have been asking for Clay Play time...so we made sure we planned that in for this week! They get to strengthen their small motor skills AND they REALLY get to use CREATIVITY!!

Our “regular” kindergartners do not have class on April 6th and 7th
